Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood has a lot to offer for both residents and tourists. For those taking a break, The Evelyn hotel – built in 1903 – is located right in the center on New York’s 27th Street. For art lovers, check out Arlene Shechet’s artwork is displayed at Madison Square Park Conservatory. This unique tour around “the overlapping pieces is similar to being within a madcap, human-scale astrolabe, one in which the onlooking park crowd that will move around and among it are similar to a constantly orbiting, shapeshifting astroid belt, dodging and colliding with the sculptures willy-nilly.”
For those who are more musically inclined, “The Band’s Visit” can be seen on Broadway, also near to The Evelyn.
And at the end of it all, you can just kick off your shoes and relax at the Evelyn’s Leonelli restaurant. Between 7 am and 8 pm every day, treat yourself to some delicious pastries.
